OWEC

Old Westbury Equestrian Center is a full service boarding, training, showing, and sales facility. Our goal is to provide first class services to both the horses and riders from beginners through those horse showing on the national level. Our facility allows us to provide year round riding, training, and showing. OWEC emphasizes excellence in show jumpers, hunters, hunt-seat equitation and pleasure riding.

Location

Our facility is located 25 miles from Manhattan, with convenient access to all of Long Island’s major highways. We are also a quick trip to JFK and LaGuardia airports as well as the Long Island Rail Road.

A Brief History…

Between 1909 and 1939, Old Westbury was the capitol of the polo world. Deveraux Milburn, an internationally renowned polo player, built his family’s Polo estate, engaging the architectural firm of Peabody, Wilson and Brown to design and build his manor house which still stands today.It is Milburn’s grand estate that was transformed into first Foxmount Farm and now the fabulous equestrian facility that is presently — The Old Westbury Equestrian Center.
