Kalyn Fogarty grew up riding horses on her family’s farm in Massachusetts. She began competing at the age of four and hasn’t looked back since. Kalyn competed primarily in the equitation divisions under the tutelage of her trainers at Acres Wild Farm in Plainville, MA. She was a working student for many years which gave her the opportunity to ride and show many different types of horses. Her time at AWF shaped her desire to make a career of teaching equitation and training young horses.  After finishing her junior years, she continued onto Stonehill College where she was captain of her varsity equestrian team and earned top spots in both team and individual competitions. Upon graduation, she moved to Huntington, NY and began working at the Quogue Horse and Pony Farm with her mentor and friend Ross Reisner. After many happy years in Quogue, she began her own business named after her beloved equitation mount, Artemis. Kalyn works with riders of all ages interested in pursuing an education in hunters, equitation, and jumpers with the goal of competing on the A circuit. Kalyn emphasizes horsemanship above all else and hopes to develop well rounded riders who are competitive in the show ring but who are also knowledgeable horse men and women.
